|Volunteer Manager with strengths in comms & stakeholder management req'd to engage and coordinate volunteers for environmental projects|
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Manager who is passionate about the community and environmental action. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to coordinate recognised project and programs and interface with metropolitan and regional community stakeholders across the State.
Our client is one of Australia’s oldest environmental groups, with a rich history in community reward and recognition, alongside 50 years of experience in program development and research to help Victorian residents and landowners protect the State. Furthermore, our client is recognised for organising the most sought-after awards which inspire community leadership and action for environmental initiatives.
The Volunteer Manager will gain an understanding of established environmental programs, deliverables and the volunteer groups across the State. Regular duties include:
Prospective incumbents will have a passion for the environment and have demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders, engaging volunteers and ensuring the effective delivery of programs resourced by volunteers. Experienced volunteer managers or those that have a grounding in coordinating people and resources are invited to apply (mentoring is on offer to less experienced individuals). Moreover, successful candidates will possess a high EQ and emotional intelligence, the ability to influence and gain the support of people from different demographics and backgrounds and effective coordination skills to achieve outcomes. OH&S awareness is a plus.
