Customer Service Manager for Rural Supplies Retailer

Our client has been providing the Bellarine Peninsula and surrounding areas with quality products and services to complement both rural and suburban lifestyles since 2004. They are a well-established family-owned and operated business. 

 

They are not a box store; they pride themselves on personalised friendly service and helpful and knowledgeable advice. They see themselves as the old-fashioned country store that has something for just about everybody, including pet supplies, landscape & garden, irrigation, home brewing, local produce, pool & spa and more. 

 

Due to recent growth, there is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Manager who is passionate about customer service and who can manage the day to day leadership of our sales staff.  

 

The successful candidate will be a real 'people person' with an ability to develop and implement policy and procedures that improve the customer service experience and in turn business results.

 

 About You: 

  • An ability to deliver exceptional customer service.  
  • Able to motivate your team and lead by example 
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Have exceptional people management and leadership skills 
  • A high degree of self-motivation and self-reliance 
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Skilled in the interpretation and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety issues 
  • An analytical nature and the ability to identify a need or gap and develop processes for improvement and growth 
  • Ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships as well as make tough decisions 
  • Show initiative and the ability to develop the team to meet KPI's  

  

Skills/Knowledge 

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role 
  • A strategic growth mindset that can be articulated into documents that form policies and procedures 
  •  On the job training and coaching of staff according to policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop, implement and manage staff rosters in line with budgets 
  • Ability to establish work goals and standards of performance for staff members 
  • Have a good eye for training needs and be able to develop and deliver methodologies to improve staff performance  

Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager, the successful applicant will have a transformational management style.
