Band 6 - Commencing Salary $81,311 p.a + 9.5% Super

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position objectives for this position are;


For the Community Assets and Community Planning & Economic Development Directorates:

  •  Provide human resources and workplace relations support and advice
  •  Facilitate effective staff performance management
  •   Facilitate effective selection processes, including participating in interviews as the human resources representative

For all of Council:

  •  Manage the Council’s recruitment and selection systems and processes

SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor level qualification in human resources or industrial relations
  • Experience in interpreting and applying workplace relations legislation, policy and practices
  • Experience in providing general HR support to supervisors and specific assistance for disciplinary processes
  • Experience and sophistication in talent acquisition with exposure to ELMO software (or similar)
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence


Skills and knowledge

  • Knowledge of human resource practice and processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff from a range of backgrounds
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Ability to deliver customer focused, high quality and timely outcomes
