An iconic Geelong hotel is looking for a dynamic manager who has excellent leadership skills and a love local attitude.

Our client is seeking a hotel manager who can deliver & maintain an exceptional customer experience that is of a consistently high service standard. Having a strong interest in food service will see you excel in this position. As will the ability to lead a team and be able to pass knowledge and skills onto other staff.


Ideally the successful candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, be motivated, self driven and understand the dynamics of a country pub.


Attributes and skills will include:

  • Hands on day to day operations of the venue
  • Leading and managing a team of approx. 15
  • Operational and organisational procedures for across the venue
  • Cost control
  • Effective communication and team work with kitchen
  • Venue presentation and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance of hotel operations according to the hotel policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Experience in sales and marketing of hotel, maintaining high levels of occupancy 
  • Strong work ethic and able to perform well under pressure
  • Demonstrated management skills and have proven experience in leading and engaging a driven team to provide excellent customer service 
  • Operational knowledge and experience in all hotel departments
  • Ability to work closely with Accounts, directly reporting to Hotel General Manager on a weekly basis
  •  Detail oriented and good time management
  • Functions & Events &/or live entertainment knowledge an advantage
