About the Organisation

This organisation is an established community services provider, highly recognised as part of the fabric of Geelong with an established RTO and reputable provider of accredited vocational education, short courses and micro credential training to the Barwon region. As the organisation seeks to hone and leverage it’s offering, we seek an RTO Manager to join its management team.


About the Role

Reporting to the RTO Manager you will lead the administration, compliance and quality requirements in line with Skills Vic, ASQA, the Department of Education and Training and other regulatory compliance. Specifically you will:

  • Monitor the RTO's compliance within the VET Quality Framework
  • Communicate and implement any changes to regulatory requirements with internal teams
  • Plan, schedule and either conduct or oversee:
    • Internal audits
    • Course reviews
    • Assessment validation; and
    • Marketing reviews (including website and social media)
  • Maintain trainer qualification register
  • Manage RTO scope of registration 
  • Submit any required regulatory applications, audits or reports
  • Submit required data reports including:
    • Total VET Activity Reporting
    • Quality Indicator Reporting; and
    • Assisting senior management to complete the Annual Declaration on Compliance
  • Conduct regular audits 
  • Directly lead, co-ordinate and supervise administration staff and provide support to the wider team when required
  • Recruit team members
  • Create and maintain Training and Assessment Strategies
  • Provide supervision and support to the RTO staff and monitor the day-to-day activities of the RTO operations; 
  • Respond to audits and any follow up activities;
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders

About You

You bring a relevant tertiary qualification and a current Cert IV in Training and Assessment with similar experience working in in an RTO. You bring detailed knowledge and understanding of the Standards for RTOs 2015. The ability to maintain composure, balance workload, problem solve and manage conflicting priorities are required and you will possess excellent people and performance management skills plus excellence in written and oral communication. You bring a high attention to detail, plus capabilities across organisational, project and administration management in order to succeed.
